It is really sad and scary how divided our country is and how much hatred there is.<br />Sylviahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05493660713552672612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-775318177583314135.post-25477245083029691322014-07-28T18:45:23.142-04:002014-07-28T18:45:23.142-04:00And those are folks I can't take seriously. There are lots of things I feel strongly about, but very few I would fight over. I'm becoming much more moderate the older I get - at least compared to where I was. But never was I "patriot" according to their terms, nor would I want to be. The scariest conversation I heard was at a jewelry counter between a gun toting male customer and a gun toting female employee. There were three counters in a semi-circle. I wasn't shopping for jewelry but couldn't take myself away so I slowly circled each counter for the longest time listening in on the talk/complaints/hate of all things liberal, of Obama and being ready in case the government comes knocking in some sort of revolution. Those arms were needed to defend themselves against the government. I got the sense that they are several guns at their disposal for personal defense. It was so scary to me and I got so scared that they'd be on to me that I left the scene. The thing to that was interesting is the employee never asked me if she could help me or anything like that. The two of them were so engrossed in conversation, intense stuff. And that was only one store. In another store good gosh it was uncanny the hatred for Obama. I think it is better not to get involved. I need my face too . . . though I'd rather have my younger one back instead of this older one. *pensive grin*Zoe Bloomerhttp://andnowagain.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.com
